Newspaper Boy Halloween

In preparation for Halloween, Brutal Studio has released Newspaper Boy Halloween, a spooky twist on their Newspaper Boy, which is itself inspired by the classic Paper Boy. Android devices are the first to platform to feature the game, although an iOS release is planned for later this month.

Just like all of the candy that will be snatched from willing neighbors this Halloween, Newspaper Boy Halloween is free. Gamers will be able to play through over 100 horror-themed levels, collecting candy and trying to get the highest scores, and even give the game’s protagonist, Billy, a Jason Voorhees mask. He will also throw pumpkins filled with dynamite, instead of the usual newspaper, and will have to watch out for the Grim Reaper, who will occasionally want to hitch a ride. Billy’s bike can be upgraded, and achievements can be shared with friends.

When asked whether more horror icons could have been included, the studio said that they would have liked to include Chucky as an optional character, but decided to opt for a smooth release without last-minute additions.

Newspaper Boy Halloween can be downloaded for free on Android, and should be available on iOS in a few weeks. In the meantime, keep up to date with the studio’s updates on Facebook or Twitter.
